abstract:
“innovation” is defined as the introduction of something new or different. it could be a new idea, device, or process. by definition, it is unique.
how is it then, that certain companies, even certain individuals, are able to churn out innovation after innovation? on nov27, tsinghua university’s school of public policy will be hosting mike chao, managing director for dolby laboratories. dolby has been creating innovations for the entertainment industry for the last half-century. while companies and people are inherently unique, there exist common patterns to those that consistently bring successful innovations to market. mr. chao will share his experiences of how dolby thinks about innovation, how successful companies have capitalized on innovation, and how you might think about innovation as it relates to your own future.
